We wanted to close this year’s Wisconsin Dells Vacation Guide on a nostalgic note, so we turned to our facebook fans and asked them to share with us that one memory of Wisconsin Dells they’ll always treasure. We were touched by the heartwarming stories and laughed out loud at the funny ones. Perhaps you’ll see yourself in one or two of these as well.
I will always remember my 6 year old son driving in his first go cart race and leading the pack…raising his forefinger as he came to the pits in 1st place. :)
When the WI Duck Driver would ask the bus load if we wanted to enter the water slow and stay dry, or enter fast and get soaked? Of course, "getting soaked" was the correct answer every time...lol
A baseball tournament the end of July. Our last time in the Dells with Grandma a month before she passed away.
Going on the Log Flume ride at Timber Falls 37 times in a row with my sister. Shopping Downtown with my mom. Been going for every year for thirty years with my family since I was a baby. It's all a very special place to me.
The robots at the exploratory…I hope they never change them:) I love the memories every time I take my kids there.
My dad, who never wears shorts and who is a farmer who gets very tan on his upper body, wearing swim shorts at the waterpark. Glow-in-the-dark legs! I was mortified. But I still had fun.
The gorgeous scenery. From age 6, I knew I wanted to be a geologist in order to learn more about rocks.
Watching my dad go down the demon drop, then trying to “recover” his swim trunks!
Watching my little brother get interviewed on the radio about Black Bart after a shootout at Fort Dells! Such a great home movie for us all these years later!!! He was about 4 yrs old, he’s now 46!!!
Our first official date at Noah’s Ark.
Going down the raft ride at Mt. Olympus with my husband and 6 yr old daughter, and my husband screaming like a girl!! I laughed the whole trip down!!!
