Arbor Day and a Tutorial on Trees in Wisconsin Dells

Arbor Day and a Tutorial on Trees in Wisconsin Dells

Did you know Wisconsin Dells is a Tree City?  We participate in the Tree City USA Program sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters. That means we do our part to support both urban and community forestry programs. Fragrant pine forests provide the ever-green to Wisconsin Dells’ color palette. Whether you’re camping, hiking at one of the state parks in the area, or strolling the downtown Scenic River Walk, you’ll be in pine heaven. The area also has oak savannahs, and the Cambrian sandstone cliffs along the Wisconsin River provide niches for plants, some of which are very rare in Wisconsin, like Lapland azalea and round-stemmed false foxglove.

Here’s an idea: Zip line over tree canopies with Chimney Rock Park Zip Line Tours - Vertical Illusions, BigFoot Zipline Tours, or Wilderness Canyon Zip Line Canopy Tour
