In Wisconsin Dells we don’t limit ourselves to one elevation for adventures. What would be the fun in that? You can start at ground level and steadily progress upward.
First, step inside one of the new escape rooms in the area, like the kid-friendly D.O.A. Room Escape at Wilderness on the Lake. Its circus theme is a nod to the Ringling Brothers Circus founded in nearby Baraboo in 1884. At Elusive Escape Rooms, there are six themed rooms to choose from, each with varying levels of difficulty. These are for visitors age 16 and up.
On water, try all your favorite waterslides at area waterpark resorts, and then add this new one to the list – it’s The Smoke That Thunders at Kalahari Resort Waterparks. This hybrid bowl-and-funnel waterslide serves up a zero gravity moment and a 55-foot drop. For less scream-inducing pursuits, the new quiet craft launch on the Upper Dells of the Wisconsin River makes it easy to launch your kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard for a tranquil early morning glide.
Finally, let’s head to the skies at the new aerial obstacle course, D-Day Invasion Adventure Park. It has 80 different challenges and there’s even an elevated viewing area for spectators. This is a nice addition to the zip line tour offerings already so popular in Wisconsin Dells.
Now you just need to choose where to begin!
