When we say it’s Take a Hike Day, we’re not referring to the expression about shooing someone away. Rather, we mean, literally, take a hike in nature. And boy, do we have some pretty state parks that fit the bill. Devil’s Lake State Park is Wisconsin’s most popular park and we’re lucky it’s just minutes from the Dells. Hiking trails, all 29 miles of them, range from easy to intermediate, so choose your steps accordingly. Mirror Lake State Park has 19 miles of trails and the serenity here alone is worth cost of the park sticker. Rocky Arbor State Park has a short, self-guided nature trail, perfect for families with little ones. Enjoy the hike!
