Tale of Two DUCK Rides in Wisconsin Dells

Wisconsin Dells is famous for waterparks, the Tommy Bartlett ski show, homemade fudge, and scenic  tours of the Wisconsin River. Let’s focus on those tours for the moment, given the Dells is home to two fleets of WWII amphibious vehicles known as Ducks.

Dells Army Ducks offers a one-hour tour of the Lower Dells and Lake Delton. You’ll chug past sandstone rock formations with names like Sugar Bowl, Wedding Bell, and Upside Down Heart. And you’ll hear about the Lost City of Newport.

Then there’s the Original Wisconsin Ducks®. Hop aboard one of these and you’ll find yourself careening down the curves of Roller Coaster Hill before plunging into the Wisconsin River. This tour includes four miles of wilderness trails, with Lake Delton and Wisconsin River tours in the middle.

Each is different. Which naturally means you’ll be driven to try both.
