This year it seems the magical word for the Thanksgiving bird in the Dells is “buffet.” Three waterpark resorts have already posted their menus for Turkey Day, bringing another word to mind: mouthwatering!
We give you permission to skip every bit of prep, cooking, and cleaning and let someone else do all the work. And that someone else would be the staffs of these three waterpark resorts:
Chula Vista Resort on the banks of the Wisconsin River provides a picture-perfect setting for Thanksgiving weekend. There will be festive family activities and crafts for the kiddos. Plus their Thanksgiving buffet menu lists no less than 30 items, so do come with an appetite. One other tip: Stay two nights and get a third night at half price – nice!
Kalahari Resort always makes sure those perennial favorites like turkey, green bean casserole, and candied yams are on their Thanksgiving buffet plus many unexpected treats. Oh, and there’s a chocolate fountain extravaganza at their dessert station. For a family of four, stay as part of their two-night Thanksgiving package and the buffet is included.
Wilderness Resort will be serving up a rather fancy buffet on Thanksgiving Day – think roasted pork loin stuffed with apples, maple and mustard glazed salmon, roast beef with au jus, and of course turkey. A “kids’ favorite” section is also on the menu. Bring the grandparents and spread out in one of their spacious vacation villas.
