Rollercoaster fans likely took today off to celebrate Rollercoaster Day. It’s as good a reason as any to use up a vacation day. Wisconsin Dells is a rollercoaster destination in its own right, with two particularly outstanding examples of this popular amusement park ride.
At Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park, the Hades 360⁰ takes you speeding along at 70 mph, with a 140 foot drop and 360-degree loop. As if that wasn’t enough, it also has the world’s longest underground tunnel.
At Timber Falls Adventure Park, the Hellcat’s claim to fame is its 70-degree banks, 90-degree turns, and 10-story drops. Try the Timber Wolf Log Flume too, which is really more like a coaster, with two steep vertical drops.
Tip for parents traveling with little ones: Opt for the indoor roller coaster at Knuckleheads Trampoline Park • Rides • Bowling. It’s made for young children and parents.
