These Are a Must-Try

Granted, any list that offers favorite picks is going to be subjective, and this one is no exception, especially given the vastness of the waterpark adventures to choose from in Wisconsin Dells. While nearly impossible, we were able to whittle it down to the “Great 8,” so consider this simply a starting point for your next visit to "The Waterpark Capital of the World!®" In random order, we bring you "waterpark wonders of the world."

Black Anaconda Water Roller Coaster, Noah’s Ark Waterpark
Even if there’s a line, this is always worth the wait. You’ll barely have a chance to catch your breath or get your bearings before being whooshed out of the snake’s mouth to a watery conclusion. This is America’s longest watercoaster.

Flyan Myan Water Roller Coaster, Chula Vista Resort
This ride combines the best of wet and dry coasters, with pulleys that propel you up and down the twists and turns at incredible speed. In fact, it’s the fastest zip coaster in all the land (meaning the U.S.). Scream all you want, it just makes it more fun.

The Hurricane, Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort
This is the tallest family raft ride in Wisconsin Dells. Four people can hop in for the 58-foot plummet down a dark tunnel before being dropped in a funnel for some oscillations followed by a splash-down.

    Howlin' Tornado, Great Wolf Lodge
This six-story-high extreme tubing thrill ride is a blast, literally and figuratively. Honorable mention goes to all their little kid-friendly water activities too.

Halley’s Comet Racers, Glacier Canyon Lodge at the Wilderness
These four slides start out in enclosed flumes, with riders traveling headfirst through steep twists, turns and stomach drops. Riders gain speed as they race across the finish line’s four open racing lanes.

The Point of No Return, Noah’s Ark Waterpark
These two body slides are as extreme as they get. How extreme? Is 10 stories up and five seconds down extreme enough for you?

The Rapids, Riverview Park & Waterworld
With a nod to families with small children, here’s a chance for everyone to cruise a tube ride that simulates the excitement of river rafting with actual rapids.

With hundreds of waterslides and rides to choose from, don’t limit yourself to just the “Great 8.” Keep in mind, it might mean a few trips to Wisconsin Dells to really log a good cross-section of waterslide miles.
