Outdoor Waterpark

Largest Waterparks

It's no wonder that Wisconsin Dells has earned the title "The Waterpark Capital of the World!®," with 21 indoor and outdoor waterparks to splash through and more than 200 waterslides to zoom down.

Here are five waterparks that have set the bar high:

  1. Noah's Ark This is the undisputed granddaddy of them all. At 70 acres, Noah's Ark is the country's largest and the gold standard among outdoor waterparks.
  2. Kalahari Resort Innovation has been the hallmark of the Kalahari, with the most popular being an indoor surf ride, the "Flowrider," that uses 50,000 gallons of water per minute. The Kalahari, with its authentic African theme, is America's largest indoor waterpark.
  3. Wilderness Resort This is the largest indoor/outdoor waterpark combination. Highlights include an outdoor wave pool equal to the size of a football field, and an indoor waterpark under a high-tech dome that allows tropical plants to thrive and people to tan, even in winter.
  4. Chula Vista Resort There's no such thing as too much water at the Chula Vista Resort. Look one direction, and there's the meandering Wisconsin River. Look the other way, and there's an outdoor waterpark and a brand new indoor multi-level waterpark.
  5. Great Wolf Lodge Huge indoor waterparks, some four-stories tall, and an outdoor waterpark complex, easily put this resort in the Top Five list. Much of the Great Wolf Lodge has the feel of an "ultimate kids' camp."
