Mini-Golf Invites Friendly Competition Well Into the Evening

Timber Falls Adventure Park

Not everyone has a golf handicap worth envying. And that's precisely why miniature golf is so perfect - it wipes away any advantage golfers who excel on the full-size greens might have. Not surprising, it also gets the competitive juices flowing. Just walk the three courses located in downtown Wisconsin Dells and you're sure to overhear a remark or two regarding accurate scorekeeping.

There's Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf, where the "grounds crew" maintains 30,000 plants around 90 holes. Next door at Timber Falls Adventure Park, you can golf around a volcano that erupts every 15 minutes, or head across the street to their links along the Wisconsin River, the only course with shade. The Old River & Totem Pole Mini Golf has waterfalls, hand-carved totem poles and flowers galore to take your mind off the pressure of trying to get a hole-in-one.

Make no mistake, you really can make an evening of this. Since every hole is so different, there's a good chance every person in your foursome will come away knowing they've hit at least a solid shot or two.

Mini-golf is also available at Shipwreck Lagoon and Noah's Ark Waterpark.
