See what our visitors are saying about Lost Canyon Tours

At Lost Canyon you enjoy the entire tour riding through a magnificent mile of cliff-walled gorges in comfortable yet quaint horse-drawn carriages. Your tour will be even more thrilling when you come to the narrow passages of Lost Canyon where the guides must talk the horses through the tight squeeze. In some of the deeper parts of Lost Canyon the sheer rock and sandstone wall have not felt the touch of the sun in more than 50,000 years.

This is a Classic Wisconsin Dells Experience:
It was back in 1956 that Dr. R.O. Ebert started the horse-drawn wagon tours through Lost Canyon, the longest and deepest land canyon in Wisconsin. In 1967, the Kissack families took over the business and still operate it today, doing their part to maintain this natural treasure. Visitors ride through a mile of cliff-walled gorges in comfortable yet quaint horse-drawn carriages. At the narrowest passages, the guides must talk the horses through the tight squeeze. In some of the deeper parts, the sheer rock and sandstone wall have not felt the touch of the sun in more than 50,000 years.

"My husband and I visited the dells a few years ago for our anniversary, we seen alot of sights, resturants, and parks, but the lost canyon tour was my favorite part. not only was it the most beautiful thing i've ever seen, our guide was so very nice and funny, even if some of his jokes were kinda out there, but that was part of his charm. There was something magical about that tour, two weeks befor our trip to the dells I was feeling my life was going no where, and when I got off that wagon ride, I felt so at peice with myself, and felt I could do anything. Well I have I started my own buisness and it's doing ok. My husband and I are planning on returning to the dells and the first thing we will be doing is the tour again."

"The carriage driver let my girls pet the horses and feed them oats and carrots. The horses, for as big as they are (7 feet at the head!)- they're very gentle with kids. We saw a deer on the trail. The canyon and horses are beautiful."
