Part of Helen Wick’s job as Group Marketing Manager at the Wisconsin Dells Visitor & Convention Bureau is to assist families in planning reunions, allowing her to be part of some wonderful moments. She shared with us one very touching story. “My favorite was a surprise 50th wedding anniversary that doubled as a family reunion. The daughter arranged for her mother’s wedding dress to be delivered to us in advance. We borrowed a mannequin and had the dress displayed next to the table where we had a replica of their original wedding cake. All the family was in the room when the daughter brought in her mom and dad. Her mom took one look at the dress and the cake and started crying tears of happiness. It was great to be a part of that moment.”
