Network Specialist Position

The Wisconsin Dells Visitor & Convention Bureau (WDVCB) is the official tourism destination management organization for the Wisconsin Dells area. A private, non-profit corporation formed in 1949, the WDVCB is funded through a combination of room tax, membership dues and advertising co-ops.

Summary of Position
The Network Specialist position is responsible for providing hardware and software installation and support to network users. More specifically this position is responsible for planning, building, troubleshooting, installing, updating and repairing computers and server hardware configurations; developing and implementing a proactive software and hardware maintenance plan including antivirus and other security measures. Installing, updating, and troubleshooting Microsoft server and workstation operating systems and office productivity software; and responding to requests for software assistance. Assisting with network and Active Directory maintenance; completing backup, storage, and retrieval functions, computer and printer repairs, and other tasks as required.

This position is estimated to work 32-40 hours per week and the IT Department staff consists of the Director of IT, one Network Specialist and one Information Services Manager.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (such as Computer Science (BSCS) with a Concentration in Software Engineering); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general knowledge of networking protocols and computer hardware; and must understand Microsoft Windows and Server operating systems and Microsoft Office Professional software. A+ certification, MTA, MCTS or equivalent training and experience, is highly desirable.

Compensation
Pay: $18 to $24 per hour - based on experience The WDVCB offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental insurance, 401k (including employee contributions, profit-sharing and employer match), PTO, paid holidays and ADD/STD/LTD/Life Insurance.
