Items welcomed: Food donations and personal care items.

An advance notice is requested if you have the potential of having perishable food that requires them to use coolers. Non perishable foods are always helpful if the organization is doing a food drive. Unopened shampoo, conditioner and soap products are accepted too.

Community Action Council also assists the River Haven Homeless Shelter in Portage, WI.

Delivery: Their office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and they usually have one staff member available to drive their truck and pick up food. They have coolers they can bring if food is perishable. An advance notice is appreciated.

Items welcomed: Gently used or new children’s winter coats, socks, boots, shoes and books. Canned goods that can be used for emergency meals like soups and stews. Financial donations.

They assist with clothing needs, heating and rent assistance for low-income families, as well as emergency food when Community Action Council is closed.

Delivery: Organization has a truck, please call them to arrange a pick-up of items. Items may also be dropped off Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
