Fall could rightly be called Festival Season in the Dells. We have harvest fests, community fests, Halloween fests, food fests, even a festival dedicated to cranes. If you need a little nudge to get in a festive state of mind, we’re just the place to make that happen.
Let’s do this chronologically, shall we? In September, there’s our community’s annual Wo-Zha-Wa Days Fall Festival with a huge sidewalk sale featuring Wisconsin Dells shopping, carnival rides, food finds, an arts and antiques fair and an old-fashioned parade. Another reason for festive celebration in September is the International Crane Foundation’s Cranes of the World celebration with guided tours and presentations from their Conservation Heroes who travel the world to save cranes. Did You Know: the Dells is the only place in the world where you can see all 15 species of cranes.
Moving into October, the first Saturday to be exact, is the Dells Chili Cook-Off. Then get ready as the very next weekend is Autumn Harvest Fest, our largest fall community event, complete with a wonderful arts and crafts marketplace, farmers’ market, scarecrow-stuffing contest, pumpkin decorating and a mighty microbrew tasting we call Dells On Tap that features over 25 Wisconsin breweries and their seasonal offerings.
All sounds fun, doesn’t it?
