Wisconsin Dells Visitor Information Centers
After arriving in Wisconsin Dells, visitors can obtain vacation planning information from either one of our two convenient Visitor Information Centers. We are located in Downtown Wisconsin Dells at 701 Superior Street, and we're open seven days a week from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm (during the summer we're open until 9:00 pm). Our Lake Delton Center is located at 31 Meadowview Drive, just off of I90/94 at exit 92, and is open Saturday through Thursday 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. (summer hours 9:00 am until 9:00 pm).

Our knowledgeable, friendly staff can answer questions and provide great tips on area activities, restaurants and shopping. While you're there, be sure to pick up the official Wisconsin Dells Vacation Guide® magazine.

Our Location
Wisconsin Dells is situated in Wisconsin's Heartland, in the middle of the southern half of the state. It's about 115 miles north west of Milwaukee and about 50 miles north of Madison.

Community Information
The Wisconsin Dells community is made up of the City of Wisconsin Dells and the Village of Lake Delton. Totaling just over 19 square miles, our destination may have just 5,579 permanent residents, but we can host more than 50,000 guests per day. The Dells welcomes approximately 3 million visitors annually. The Wisconsin Dells area has more hotel rooms and lodging options than any other destination in the state, at just over 10,000. Not to mention, 19 campgrounds with nearly 3,200 sites.

Wisconsin Dells Tax Information
There is a 6.5% sales tax in the Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton area on all purchased items. There is an 11.5% tax on all lodging accommodations.

Nearest airports to Wisconsin Dells include Dane Co. Regional Airport in Madison, WI (55 miles), General Mitchell International in Milwaukee, WI (116 miles) and O'Hare International in Chicago, IL (188 miles). Each airport can connect you with rental cars to get you on the road to the Dells.

Both Greyhound and Amtrak services are available to Wisconsin Dells.
