You get the picture, tempting as it is. Awesome SceneryThe flip side of heart-pounding fun is the incredible scenic beauty of the Dells, and appropriately, much of that beauty is tied to water. The Wisconsin River, with its hauntingly beautiful and mysteriously teetering sandstone bluffs, bisects the city of Wisconsin Dells. Pristine natural resources first brought travelers here 150 years ago, and are still a huge draw today. You can tour the River on paddlewheeler or pontoon, and every variety of watercraft in between. For those preferring terra firma, the rock climbing is grand in the Dells, and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a hiker's dream come true. |
