10/21/2009 "My husband and I visited your established last Sunday, October 18, 2009 and had the most delicious meal. We both ordered your pan fried Walleye. Our waitress was most gracious and attended to us on a timely basis. I didn't catch her name, but when we stated we were on our way to Ho Chung after dinner, she stated she loves it there too. If you mention this to her, I'm sure she will remember us. With my dinner I ordered the clam chowder soup. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Where can I find the recipe? 06/27/2009 "Being a Dells vacationer since childhood, I have had many great experiences and the high point of each trip was always dinner at the Del Bar. I most remember the name being "Jimmy's Dell Bar" and we still refer to it as "Jimmy's". Now that I have children and grandchildren we often come in for dinner in large groups when we're all here. I have been greeted by my favorite "Del Bar" employee. LOIS ! She had always made us feel so special whenever she greeted us at the hostess desk. She had a way of making us feel that we were the most important people in the restaurant and my children and grandchildren think we are personal friends. My 6 yr. old granddaughter once said to us "I'm glad that she is your girlfriend because we get the best seat". We have not been able to visit the Dells in several years but we plan on a visit in Aug. and I sure hope to see LOIS at the "Del Bar". Oh, and the food is the most scrumptious - heavenly delicious food in the Dells.... or anywhere !!! I can't wait or our next "Del Bar" experience and if you notice a woman referring to the place as Jimmy's ..... IT"S ME !" - Linda Milwaukee, WI
06/10/2009 "50 years ago we spent our Honeymoon in Wisconsin Dells. The first night we were there we had dinner at Jimmys Del-Bar. We ordered Chateaubriand for 2 and when it came we gasped. It was so huge we said it would feed a whole family. Needless to say we have never forgotten that. We hope to spend our 50th anniversary in September in Wisconsin Dells and will for sure have dinner at the Del-Bar." - Marie/Chuck St. Louis, MO |
