A classic boat tour of the Wisconsin River in the spring brings great appreciation of the reawakening of Mother Nature and the care taken in preserving the natural resources in Wisconsin Dells. Be among the first this season to soak in the scenery.
It’s not just the birds flitting about in the pine forests that signal spring, the ducks are very active this time of year too. Make that Ducks, as in the amphibious vehicles used for tours of the Upper and Lower Dells of the Wisconsin River. Both the Dells Army Duck Tours and Original Wisconsin Ducks are already splashing around, giving visitors a most enjoyable take on the scenic beauty of the river and the famous sandstone cliffs that tower above it.
Dells Boat Tours started running earlier this month as well, a two-hour tour with two scenic shore landings at Witches Gulch and Stand Rock. This may well be the most enjoyable history/geography lesson you’ll ever have.
Come May, you can look forward to jet boat tours offered by Jet Boat Adventures and Wildthing Jet Boats, sunset dinner cruises courtesy of Dells Boat Tours, and cruises aboard the Princess Kay Paddlewheel Riverboat, all on the Wisconsin River.
