The Dells downtown plaza is a picturesque spot, especially as the sun gets low in the sky, casting a glow on the pretty streetscaping, benches, umbrellas, lights strung this way and that, and even that full-sized retired tour boat-turned-backdrop for musicians to perform. The entertainment is free, the memories worth a million bucks.
Downtown Wisconsin Dells has a really great vibe these days. Shops keep their doors open late. Restaurants serve dinner sidewalk café-style. Plus there’s the sound of live music in the background, courtesy of free nightly shows sponsored by the City of Wisconsin Dells.
Here are the particulars: The concerts happen nightly at Duchess Plaza at the corner of Oak Street and Broadway. Admission is always free. Shows typically run from 7 – 9 p.m. (see our Calendar of Events for exact times). Arrive early to get a good seat, or just bring your own folding chair. On any given night you might hear an up-and-coming blues singer, someone playing steel drums, a strings band, cloggers, a rock band, a pop group…in other words, a world of music choices.
See you downtown!
