The nation has gone Halloween mad, in a good way that is. Spooky decorations, tons of candy corn, trick-or-treating til you drop, costume parties, the whole shebang. Why, you ask? Because it’s fun. And fun is our middle name in Wisconsin Dells. Here’s a rundown of resort activities, haunted houses, and ghost tours.
Halloween at the Waterparks:
- Wilderness Resort has craft projects like creating spooky masks, horse-drawn wagon rides to their mini-pumpkin patch, costumed trick-or-treating, and a family Halloween bash.
- Chula Vista Resort has a “Spooktober” line-up that should please every little goblin in your group, with spooky treat creations, creepy craft time, wagon rides, batty bingo, tarantula tattoos and, of course, trick-or-treating.
- Great Wolf Lodge has their Howl-O-Ween all mapped out, with costume parades, trick-or-treat trails, scary-silly story times, and a Monster Bash Dance Party.
- Kalahari Resort celebrates the season with their very own Oktoberfest. There will be food, beer, and so much more the first weekend in October!
For those who actually enjoy being frightened, The Haunted Mansion and Ghost Out-Post Haunted House are both must-do’s. So is the Ghost Boat “Journey to Haunted Canyon” on the Wisconsin River. Baraboo Tours has Haunted Downtown Walks that put the “boo” in Baraboo. Even Dells Trolley Tours gets in on the ghostly vibe with a haunted trolley of terror tour.
