Now that the first snow of the season has come to Wisconsin, it just feels right to talk about a popular holiday-time activity that is taking place this weekend. Mid-Continent Railway Museum has been operating the Santa Express™ train ride with Old Saint Nick for 20 years!
On the ride, you’ll experience a comfortable 1900’s adventure, as all of the cars are kept warm using traditional steam heating or coal-fried stoves. In 2015, the Santa Express operates on Saturday, November 28th and Sunday, November 29th. There are four departures on each day. The trains travel a 7-mile round trip route and the experience lasts about an hour. While we can’t promise that the snow will still be on the ground, we can promise that Santa will be on board!
