Kids Get to Have All the Fun

July 10, 2017

Did You Know: Resorts in the Dells are pros at kids’ activities and programs, and we’re not just talking waterslides.

Kids can’t stay in the water forever. That’s where the kids’ activity programs at the resorts come in. The resort staffs are masters of knowing just what kids love to do, and these activities are so much fun it’s easy to coax the kids to dry off for an hour or two.

 Great Wolf Lodge pottery

Great Wolf Lodge: Included in your stay are loads of activities themed to the resort, like Wolf Walk, Wolfercise, Yoga Tails, Story Time with Forest Friends, and a Hustle and Howl dance party. They do a “pawsitively” fantastic job.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions: Arts and crafts are the operative words at Kalahari. There are coloring contests too. Budding foodies can try their hand at cookie decorating. Every Saturday morning there’s a character breakfast with none other than Kenya, the beloved elephant mascot (reservations available by phone, separate pricing for adults and children).

Wilderness Resort: What kid wouldn’t love an outdoor movie? Every Tuesday night kids can settle in for an outdoor flick, with jammies the dress code. Moms and Dads, look for the Wild Kids Club Kiosk in the Wild WaterDome for more activity ideas with schedules changing daily.

Chula Vista Resort: Where to begin at Chula Vista? There are wagon rides, nature walks, scavenger hunts, riddle search games, and arts and crafts. Little bakery chefs will like the cookie decorating too. The weekends bring family movie nights.

Meadowbrook Resort: Activities include nightly campfires with marshmallow roasting, family movies with popcorn, outdoor games like ping pong, horseshoes and badminton, and even forested walking paths.

Woodside Ranch Resort & Conference Center: The activity coordinators here arrange line dancing lessons, crafts, family board game nights, and talent shows. Woodside’s petting zoo features buffalo and baby goats, and complimentary fishing poles and life jackets are available for some bonding time at the on-site lake.

Yogi Bear™ Camp-Resort & Water Playground: This spacious campground offers arts and crafts, autograph and photo sessions with Yogi Bear™ and the gang, karaoke, candy bar bingo, Sunday pool parties with a DJ, and even “Hey-Rides” with glow sticks.

This is just a sampling of resort activities. Be sure to ask your resort about any activities that may be featured during your stay. For a full list of lodging options, visit wisdells.com/stay.
