Event Theme

Community Events

• This category includes events that appeal more to local residents than visitors to the Wisconsin Dells area. The events must be open to the general public

Educational

• This category includes educational events that are open to the general public. Examples: Classes (cooking, art, etc.), Demonstrations (basket weaving, jewelry-making, etc.

Fundraising Events/Activities 

• This category includes events to raise money for causes that are open to the general public

​Holiday Events

• This category includes events that happen around the following holidays: New Year's Eve, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween and Christmas. The events must be open to the general public and must exist outside the normal course of business. Examples: Santa visits, Halloween parties, 4th of July fireworks, New Year's parties, etc. 

​Live Entertainment

• This category includes all live bands or one-time performances. Weekly entertainment will also be included. Minimum length of event - 2 hours. 

Special Events

• Two types of events are included in this category ~ festivals that occur on an annual or semi-annual basis; and activities that exist outside the normal course of business, which may be considered a festival on a smaller scale.  
• An event that occurs on an annual semi-annual basis must have a full line-up of activites - enough to entertain guests for several hours over multiple days. Examples: Automotion, Wo-Zha-Wa Days, Fall Festival Weekend, etc. 
• An event that exists outside of the normal course of business may be considered a festival on a smaller scale. Examples may include one-day events, open houses, trade shows or destination sidewalk sales (i.e. Downtown Dells Sidewalk Sales) - all must be open to the general public. Promotions, including reduced admission fees, will not be listed. Minimum length of event - 3 hours. 

Sporting Events

Sports - Open Gym & Rinks

• Sports centers who offer public access and use of their facilities, where a fee or admission is generally charged, may list open gym, rink and facility time slots here. 

Sports - Spectator Events 

• Please use this category to list events where spectators are welcome to enjoy the event. To be eligible, the event must take place in Wisconsin Dells. 

Sports - Tournaments / Camps

• Please use this category to list a Wisconsin Dells area tournament, competition or camp. 

​Sports - Walks / Runs / Biking

• Wisconsin Dells is home to a wide variety of walks and runs. Anyone in the Wisconsin Dells area may list their walk or run here.
