Downtown Wisconsin Dells is excited to bring back the Tree of Light for another holiday season. Experience the magic and wonder for yourself by making a trip to see this spectacular sight in-person.
Picture if you will a majestic silver maple, branches reaching 55 feet into the air, sparkling with 30,000 points of light. That tree is located at the entrance to the River Walk in the downtown district and will be lit starting Friday, Nov. 12 and continue through Jan. 1, 2022. The tree will be illuminated every night after dusk until 11 p.m.
This dazzling display features energy-saving LED lights so it’s energy efficient just as it energizes the holiday spirit for all who see it. And it’s the only light display of its kind in the Midwest.
The wow factor continues along the scenic River Walk, with an additional 70 holiday trees lining the paved path, all sponsored by area businesses.
Visitors are welcome to take free self-guided tours any night of the week. Now, if you happen to be visiting on a weekend, there’s a good chance you’ll see jolly old St. Nick and his reindeer and hear bands and choirs performing under the starry sky.
Parking is free, the light display is free, the music is free, and the joy of the season comes at no charge. Which really makes this a priceless experience for every generation.
Stroll the Downtown
While you’re here and in the holiday spirit, we invite you to stroll the downtown, shop our local stores and get a few items checked off your holiday shopping list, then grab a bite to eat and a hot toddy. There are good memories to be made this season in Wisconsin Dells.
