Tickets for Next Trio of Wisconsin Dells Festivals Go on Sale August 1
For anyone who appreciates fine wine or craft beer or both, please dial in this date and time: August 1, at noon. That’s when tickets go on sale for three popular Wisconsin Dells fall festivals.
- Fall Wine Walk, Saturday, October 7: Over the course of four fruit-of-the-vine-filled hours, stroll, sip, snack, and shop, as more than 20 downtown businesses open their doors for the Fall Wine Walk, Saturday, October 7, 2-6 PM. Enjoy reds and whites paired with tasty hors d’oeuvres, with your ticketed wristband providing access to all participating businesses. You’ll also receive information on all the featured wines so you can jot a reminder to yourself of the wines you liked best.
- Dells Craft Beer Walk, Friday, October 13: Picture this – a fall evening in the historic downtown district, a soft glow of amber lights emanating from the bars that line the main street, friends greeting friends, glasses of microbrews being raised to toast the season. Yep, that’s the Dells Craft Beer Walk in a nutshell. Your ticket to this beer walk, which runs 5-9 PM. on Friday, October 13, gets you access to samplings of artisan brews as well as deals on tasty food.
- Dells on Tap, Saturday, October 14: Is there a state with a prouder brewing heritage than Wisconsin? We think not! And that heritage is one of many reasons the annual Dells on Tap microbrew tasting fest continues to be such a success, that along with the incredible variety of craft brews to sample, nearly 70 in all. Consider yourself a beer connoisseur? Then choose the limited VIP Admission, which gets you early entry to the beer tent, a commemorative VIP tasting mug, pretzel necklace, and light snacks from noon to 1 PM. General Admission opens at 1 PM, with festivities running to 5 PM. Here’s a fun tip: Recruit your best buds for the pre-event cornhole tournament or giant beer pong competition, starting at 10:30 AM. The top three teams get awards. There’s also a competition to honor the most epic beards and mustaches - styling is encouraged as “flair” will be one of the biggest factors in determining the winners.
Before the grown-up fall events get underway in October, here’s a long-running, family-friendly Wisconsin Dells fall festival that is a favorite for visitors and locals alike – it’s Wo-Zha-Wa Fall Festival, set for the weekend of September 15-17, with all activities taking place throughout the downtown district and adjacent Bowman Park.
Why a full weekend? Because it takes three days to fully experience all the highlights, including Maxwell Street Days sales, an antique flea market, an arts & crafts fair, carnival rides, live music, and concessions. Oh, and the 100-unit parade on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. wraps up the fest in joyous style, so stick around for that.
