Spring Break Capital of the Midwest

Can you feel it? That warmth from the sun, that gentle breeze at your back? Yup, spring is making its presence felt. And while we may be just a teensy bit biased, we strongly believe the best spot for a spring break escape is none other than Wisconsin Dells. After all, the community has earned bragging rights as the “Spring Break Capital of the Midwest.” So, now that we’ve convinced you of our credentials, let’s move on to the good stuff, the itinerary ideas.

There is no expiration date on outdoor recreation in Wisconsin Dells. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing at the nearby state parks are overlapping with ziplining, hiking, and scenic tours right about now. Let’s break it down:

Ever Fun

Spring break in Wisconsin Dells just wouldn’t be complete without a stay-and-play at a waterpark resort. If you’re traveling with toddlers, try Great Wolf Lodge where the waterpark rides and slides are sized just right and the adorable woodland creatures theme is applied to everything from story time to kid-friendly yoga. At Chula Vista Resort & Waterpark, the indoor waterpark has kiddie play areas as well as racing slides and a water roller coaster geared to tweens and teens. Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is home to Wisconsin’s largest indoor waterpark – don’t miss the surf machine here. Wilderness Resort Waterpark’s indoor wave pool covered by a massive see-through dome will make you feel like you’re in the tropics. Take to the tube slides at Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park for a family-friendly option.
