It’s Outdoor Waterpark Season

Family racing at Noah's Ark waterslides

While most attractions in Wisconsin Dells are open year-round, some of the largest and most famous are open for a few magical months known as summer. We’re speaking, of course, of the outdoor waterparks.

Let’s start with the largest outdoor waterpark in the country, Noah’s Ark Waterpark, all 70 acres of it. The range of attractions is what makes it so popular. There’s Tadpole Bay for toddlers, Congo Bongo for families, Raja for racers, and Scorpion’s Tail for adrenaline-seekers. And that, my friends, is just the start. Wear comfortable swim shoes and see how much ground and water you can cover in a day. Insider tip: Eat at Pink’s Hot Dogs, play Safari Mini Golf, and shop at the Big Kahuna Gift Shop.

The waterpark resorts in Wisconsin Dells with gargantuan outdoor waterparks to complement their indoor counterparts include Wilderness Resort, Chula Vista Resort, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, Great Wolf Lodge and Mt. Olympus Resort. Home to an outdoor mythical realm with water slides and rides of all shapes, sizes and speeds, Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park has a ride for everyone!

Looking for a mid-size resort that’s entirely manageable for little ones? Wisconsin Dells is home to those too, check them all out here. Bonus for campers: Yogi Bear Camp-Resort has its own water playground.

The Big Top at Circus World is abuzz with daily shows now through the end of summer.

Cool off at Timber Falls Adventure Park mini-golf, where the course winds through old-growth pine trees along the Wisconsin River, providing welcome shade on a hot summer day.

Speaking of cooling off, take a jet boat adventure on the upper and lower dells of the Wisconsin River. There’s Jet Boat Adventures and WildThing Jet Boats. You may get drenched but you'll be very, very happy.
