Fireworks Shows in Wisconsin Dells
Wisconsin Dells' 4th of July celebrations will be sparking up around town to get everyone ready to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary. Time to map out top viewing spots for your big boom getaway.
Ah, 4th of July in Wisconsin Dells, a magical time when “ooohs” and “oh wows” can be heard radiating from more places than waterpark slides and roller coaster rides. We’re talking fireworks displays and it goes without saying, when you’re a top vacation destination, there is no such thing as going small. Here’s a handy guide to favorite viewing spots for fireworks in Wisconsin Dells.

- Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort: Saturday, July 4 at dusk. This annual show for guests is launched near the Glacier Canyon Conference Center, with prime viewing from the pool deck of the Lost World Waterpark. For a more laid-back vibe, Wilderland Park offers an alternative viewing area with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the show. As a bonus, staff will be handing out free glow sticks to add even more sparkle to the night. More patriotic fun: The resort has lots of free July 4th activities for the little ones including patriotic crafts, foam parties, and outdoor games.
- Kalahari Resorts & Conventions: Saturday, July 4 at dusk. The Kalahari Kaboom is a daylong patriotic jubilee filled with family-friendly fun, a resort-wide parade at 10am, and character appearances – all a prelude to the evening pyrotechnics set to music. Light-up accessories and glow sticks will be available for purchase, as well as snacks and drinks from the concession stand opening at 6pm. Best viewing: Head to the Convention Center parking lot at sunset for the red, white, and blue fireworks extravaganza.
- Wisconsin Dells Community Fireworks: Saturday, July 4 at dusk. Grab your lawn chairs and enjoy prime viewing behind the city’s municipal building at 300 La Crosse Street. Before you settle in, explore the downtown district and pick up your favorite flavor of fudge or popcorn to nibble on during the show.
- Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park Resort: Saturday, July 4 at dusk. Free for guests with views from just about anywhere – there’s not a bad seat in the park. Here’s an idea: Try the Rise of Icarus, America's Tallest Waterslide, during the day to get the adrenaline going for the big nighttime show.
- Chula Vista Resort: Saturday, July 4 at dusk. The Red, White & BOOM! fireworks show is open to all guests at this resort perched above the Wisconsin River. Guests have lots of spots to choose from around the grounds, with the best viewing spot at the Palapa Beach Bar at the Outdoor Waterpark. Starting at 7:30pm, enjoy a live DJ, festive games, family-friendly activities, and exciting contests. Before the show: Marvel at the wonders of Mother Nature with a stroll along the resort riverwalk.
