In Wisconsin Dells, Halloween is a season of its own, with ghost boat tours, haunted houses, and resort-style trick-or-treating. The only thing scarier than a goblin or two would be the thought of missing a Wisconsin Dells Halloween!
The season of trick-or-treating is upon us and we’re big believers that Halloween should be celebrated all October long. If you agree, then you’ll find these ideas for a Wisconsin Dells Halloween getaway to be ghoulishly good. Consider this permission to pull out that bag of candy corn you have hidden in the pantry and start planning your haunted hiatus.
Terror-ific Tours

- Ghost Boat is an eerie, after-dark excursion that uses abstract lighting and special effects to create a terrifyingly intense environment. You’ll travel through rocky banks of the Wisconsin River while the boat captain navigates the jet-black waters. Once you arrive at the creepy confines of “newly re-opened” Cold Water Canyon, you’ll head out on foot, where even the moonlight isn’t enough to keep you from being afraid of the dark.
- Get ready for frightening details about the haunted side of the Wisconsin Dells area when you take the Haunted History Tour from Dells Trolley Tours. You’ll visit a haunted cemetery, and the tour guide will use a ghost meter to search for energy of the spirits.
- If scary is what you seek, then a self-guided tour through The Haunted Mansion is for you. This classic haunted house-style attraction is located in downtown Wisconsin Dells.
- Dare to navigate Ghost Outpost Haunted House’s animatronic-filled rooms designed for fun and fright. With one bone-chilling chamber after another, you’re sure to scream until you can’t scream anymore.

Spook-tacular Shows
- The Monster Mash Spooktacular show at Dells Dinner Adventures is a family-friendly Halloween extravaganza filled with high-energy dancing, jaw-dropping magic, spectacular special effects, and many more surprises. Your ticket also includes a three-course feast featuring Rotisserie “Raven Roast” (Oven-Roasted Chicken), Witch’s Brew Creamy Vegetable Soup, Goblin-Toasted Graveyard Bread, and much more. Kids meals are available upon request.
- It’s just an illusion … or is it? The tricks staged at the Rick Wilcox Magic Theater will have you thinking twice about raising your hand to volunteer to come on stage.
Aghast Activities & Attractions
- Gather the little ghouls and goblins for a spooky night at Casacampo Alpaca Ranch on Saturday, October 24, 2026! Hosting their first Monster Mash at the Ranch, kids can take part in trick-or-treating and spooky ranch fun from 3 – 6pm. Don’t miss the Monster Mash dance party beginning at 5pm.

The waterfall runs a murky red, shadows are cast, and mini-golf is played against a haunted backdrop. This spooky attraction is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights during October (weather permitting).
- Located inside an ancient jungle pyramid, Lost Temple is a wild mix of mystery and adventure with creatures lurking in the fog. Outside of the temple you’ll find a giant maze where you can test your speed, brain, and sense of direction.
