It’s not just an outdoor pastime either, with some funky blacklight indoor courses providing a terrific diversion on a rainy day. Let’s putt-putt through the options together, shall we?
Outdoor Mini Golf in Wisconsin Dells
There are five outdoor courses in the area, each with its own personality, if you will. Read on and you’ll see what we mean.
- NEW Yeti Yard Next Level Adventures: This new downtown attraction, just two blocks off Broadway on La Crosse Street, is part go-kart speedway and part mini golf. So, after a race around their elevated go-kart track, plant your feet on the ground at their newly opened 18-hole championship putting greens. Their season wraps up at the end of October, so as their tagline suggests– Ready. Yeti. Go!
- Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf: If there was an award to be given for most beautifully landscaped mini golf course, Pirate’s Cove would certainly walk away with the winner’s trophy. This Wisconsin Dells mini golf park has 91 unique holes over five different courses, with the backdrop of 30,000 plants and waterfalls. There’s also a large playland and picnic area with shelters. They’re open through October.
- Timber Falls Adventure Park: You’ll have it made in the shade when you choose Timber Falls for your next Wisconsin Dells mini golf adventure. The three different courses here make use of the rugged terrain along the Wisconsin River for a most scenic rendition of this popular family sport. Golf here through October.
- Superstition Springs Miniature Golf Course: The layout of this 18-hole course at Chula Vista Resort takes a cue from the resort’s real golf courses, with lots of “water hazards” including ponds, rivers, waterfalls, and fountains to challenge you. Purchase an all day wristband for all the putt putt you can handle.
- Lost World Jurassic Mini Golf: Enter into the Jurassic Era and play a round among the dinosaurs. Located at Glacier Canyon Lodge, it is near the Lost World Outdoor Waterpark; perfect for a fun game after a day on the slides!
Indoor Mini Golf in Wisconsin Dells
Wisconsin Dells is known for indoor fun (hello, indoor waterparks anyone!), so it should come as no surprise that there would be a nice selection of indoor mini golf courses in the community as well. Four courses to be exact, with blacklight a popular design choice.
- Tom Foolerys Adventure Park: This indoor amusement park has an incredible array of rides and games, with mini golf among them. Their Legends of the Lost Jungle course is blacklight mini golf at its best, a glowing adventure that has you putting through a jungle filled with elephants, giraffes, and lions.
- Wild Abyss at the Wilderness Resort: The Wilderness Resort has done a stellar job with the renovations to its Wild Abyss indoor mini golf, an attraction exclusively for guests of the resort. Not only does this blacklight adventure feature great graphics, there are also huge tropical aquariums filled with fish to gaze upon while you golf.
- Wild Fun Zone: Located smack dab in the middle of downtown Dells, this fun little attraction specializes in both blacklight laser tag and blacklight mini golf. But we’re here to talk about the mini golf - it’s a 3-D, Avatar-themed 9-hole adventure course notable for its wild graphics and vibrant colors.
- NEW Knuckleheads Puttheads Mini-Golf: While the trampoline park at Knuckleheads is the main draw, who can resist a little mini golf, especially when it’s brand new and the name is Puttheads. The course here combines classic mini golf touches with proprietary technology, much like their cosmic bowling lanes.
