So, we narrowed it down to seven top-tier waterparks and seven that are perfect for the youngest members of the family. Here are just some of our favorite destinations for a splash of summer fun.

Seven Best Waterparks in Wisconsin Dells for Massive Fun

  • Noah’s Ark Waterpark: At 70 acres and more than 80 rides and slides, this is America’s largest outdoor waterpark. Be sure to try Scorpion’s Tail, Black Anaconda, Raja, Time Warp, Sting Ray, Point of No Return, and new for 2023, Chameleon. There are also wave pools and lazy rivers when you’re ready to dial it down from intense to chill.
  • Wilderness Resort Waterpark: The claim to fame here is that they are America’s largest waterpark resort with 4 indoor and 4 outdoor waterparks. In the Wild Waterdome Waterpark you’ll find America’s largest indoor wave pool covered by a see-through roof that bathes the entire park in natural sunlight. Outside, the Lost World Waterpark is enormous and it’s here you’ll want to test your waterpark courage on the Cosmic Drop, Lunar Loop, and Halley’s Comet Racer Slide.
  • Great Wolf Lodge: This resort is a hit with toddlers and grade-schoolers. They really get what kids like, as shown by their indoor Fort Mackenzie water fort treehouse and their outdoor Raccoon Lagoon. For the braver ones in the family, the Howlin’ Tornado plunge funnel ride is your ticket to screams.
  • Kalahari Resort Waterparks: The authentic African theming of this resort is so, so good, as are the indoor and outdoor waterparks. Inside, test your agility and balance on the Flowrider body surfing wave simulator, then ride the Master Blaster water rollercoaster. The Screaming Hyena trap-door slide starts through the roof at 60 feet above the waterpark floor. Outdoors, the Swahili Swirl funnel ride sends you whirling, while The Smoke That Thunders has you whooshing though a dark tube before plunging you nearly vertical.
  • Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park: Their indoor waterpark is home to America’s first rotating waterslide – Medusa’s Slidewheel – then head outside to experience 9-foot waves in Poseidon’s Rage Wave Pool. The Lost City of Atlantis outdoor water fortress attraction is a favorite of families.
  • Chula Vista Resort Waterparks: A waterpark vacation at Chula Vista includes both indoor and outdoor waterparks. Starting indoors, race against friends and family on the Matador Mat Racers, fly on the Flyan Mayan Water Coaster, then take it down a notch at Mount Montezuma’s giant rain forest with a huge tipping bucket. Outdoors, there are extreme slides, a wave pool, and even a sandy beach area next to their Adventure Lagoon.
  • The Land of Natura: New this year, this natural waterpark along the Wisconsin River includes America’s largest inflatable waterpark floating in the naturally-filtered, chlorine-free Lake Wisconsin Dells. There are also waterslides that take you down a manmade mountain right into the lake.
