Family having fun at Great Wolf Lodge outdoor waterpark.

June 30, 2023

When you’re “The Waterpark Capital of the World!®” it’s only natural that visitors would want to know which is the best waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. There are so many options that it was hard for us to choose. After all, each has something unique to offer guests.

So, we narrowed it down to seven top-tier waterparks and seven that are perfect for the youngest members of the family. Here are some of our favorite destinations for a splash of summer fun.

Seven Best Waterparks in Wisconsin Dells for Massive Fun

  • Noah’s Ark Waterpark: At over 70 acres and more than 50 rides and attractions, this is America’s largest outdoor waterpark. Be sure to try Scorpion’s Tail, Black Anaconda, Raja, Time Warp, Sting Ray, Point of No Return, and the Chameleon. There are also wave pools and lazy rivers when you’re ready to dial it down from intense to chill. New for 2026, “Neon Nights” in July and August will introduce colorful LED lights, special effects, and lively music on Friday and Saturday evenings.
  • Wilderness Resort Waterpark: Their claim to fame is that they are America’s largest waterpark resort with four indoor and four outdoor waterparks. In the Wild WaterDome Waterpark you’ll find America’s largest indoor wave pool covered by a see-through roof that bathes the entire park in natural sunlight. Outside, the Lost World Waterpark is enormous and it’s where you’ll want to test your waterpark courage on the Cosmic Drop, Lunar Loop, and Halley’s Comet Racers.
  • Great Wolf Lodge: This resort is a hit with toddlers and grade-schoolers. They really get what kids like, as shown by their indoor Fort Mackenzie water fort treehouse and their outdoor Raccoon Lagoon. For the braver ones in the family, the Howlin’ Tornado plunge funnel ride is your ticket to screams.
  • Kalahari Resort Waterparks: The authentic African theming of this resort is so, so good, as are the indoor and outdoor waterparks. Inside, test your agility and balance on the FlowRider® body surfing wave simulator, then ride the Master Blaster water rollercoaster. The Screaming Hyena trap-door slide starts through the roof at 60 ft. above the waterpark floor. Outdoors, the Swahili Swirl funnel ride sends you whirling, while The Smoke That Thunders has you whooshing through a dark tube before taking a nearly vertical plunge.
  • Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park: Their indoor waterpark is home to America’s first rotating waterslide – Medusa’s Slidewheel – then head outside to experience 9-foot waves in Poseidon’s Rage Wave Pool. The Lost City of Atlantis outdoor water fortress attraction is a favorite of families. Don’t miss one of the newest additions, The Rise of Icarus, America's Tallest Waterslide. Little ones can also enjoy the new children's play area, Icaria Splash ‘N Slide, with slides, dump buckets, geysers, and more.
  • Chula Vista Resort Waterparks: A waterpark vacation at Chula Vista includes both indoor and outdoor waterparks. Starting indoors, race against friends and family on the Matador Mat Racers, soar through a kaleidoscope of colors on the Rainbow Rapids, then take it down a notch at Mount Montezuma’s Mayan Temple with its huge tipping bucket. Outdoors, you’ll find extreme slides, splash pad, sports pool, and a wave pool.
  • The Land of Natura: This natural waterpark along the Wisconsin River includes America’s largest inflatable waterpark floating in the naturally-filtered, chlorine-free Lake Wisconsin Dells. There are also the Mount Natura Slides that take you down a manmade mountain right into the lake. New for 2026, Land of Natura has added a massive, double-wave slide experience that stands over 16 ft. above the crystal-clear waters of the lake.

Seven Best Waterparks for Children and Families

Make your kiddo’s first waterpark experience a giggling good time, setting the tone for many waterpark vacations to come.

  • Atlantis Waterpark Hotel: Perfect for kids ten and under. There are two indoor waterpark areas, and one outdoor water play space. Toddler slides, tube slides, and water basketball are all up for grabs.

  • Aloha Beach Resort: Located on the shores of Lake Delton, this resort offers an inflatable waterpark, complete with sandy beach. Indoors, guests can splash around in the heated pool.
  • Grand Marquis Waterpark Hotel & Suites: On a rainy day, the indoor Blue Dolphin Lagoon Waterpark is a great hangout spot thanks to kid-sized slides and a shallow water wading pool. Catch the summer breeze outside at their Olympic-size outdoor pool as the kiddos have a blast sliding down the waterslides with giant dolphin sculptures dominating the scenery.
  • Meadowbrook Resort: Kids get a kick out of the logging camp theme here. The indoor waterpark has The Mount Gushmore Dam and Baby Bears Bubbling Brook. Outdoors there’s the Hollow Tree Swimmin’ Hole with slides and geysers.
