Time to Break Away

Choose the Right Accommodation
Wisconsin Dells has over 8,000 hotel rooms. That’s a lot of options! Discuss where you want to stay as a family. Are you looking for a large waterpark resort with everything in one place? Is a condo with a kitchen a good vacation style for you, or does a vacation home fit your family better? There are cozy mom-and-pop hotels, too. Most accommodations in the Dells partner with indoor waterparks or theme parks so take note if they include passes in their room rates.

Book Early
Believe it or not, Spring Break is becoming as popular as summer here in the Dells so you want to make sure you reserve your rooms as early as possible.

Spend Some Time on Your To-Do List
Wisconsin Dells has become a year-round vacation destination but some of our attractions are still beholden to the weather. If it’s too cold or the river is too high, boat tours won’t be running, for example. So before you come, check wisdells.com and business websites to make sure your to-do list is realistic for the season. Here are some of our weather-proofed suggestions:

Save Money
Everyone likes to save money! Spring Break Vacation Packages and Wisconsin Dells Spring Break Deals can be found – you just need to know where to look. And look no further than the Deals section on wisdells.com. As of this posting, there were plenty of condo specials, vacation home rental specials, and even a behind the scenes tour package at Timbavati Wildlife Park.

Unplug
It’s “The Waterpark Capital of the World!®” so you don’t want to get those electronics wet anyways! Seriously, though, outside of taking a few great pictures we recommend tucking your phone or tablet away, kicking back and enjoying every moment of your vacation.

Pack the Essentials
Of course you need a swimsuit if you’re planning on hitting the waterparks. But don’t forget to prepare for the unpredictable Midwest weather if you plan on leaving that nice, tropical indoor atmosphere. Flip flops or water shoes are great for trekking through the waterparks, and a swimsuit cover-up and oversized beach towel are nice to have on hand too. Swim goggles are a hit for the little ones. One note: you might want to leave the jewelry at home. You can’t wear it on extreme waterslides anyways.

We hope that your Wisconsin Dells Spring Break vacation becomes a family tradition! Happy planning.
